Choosing the Artist’s Paint Brush

The artist’s paint brush is like the magic wand of Harry Potter used for many art pieces.  It will certainly become like an extended appendage of the artist the longer it is used.  It is important that the artist is familiar with the different kinds of paint brushes in order to select the right tool for a particular stroke, so to speak.  The shapes and the sizes of the paint brush will vary depending on how large the art is and how detailed the artwork will be.  There are eight main types of paint brushes; each is specific to its purpose.  It is vital that the artist understands the uses of each paint brush to be able to create a masterpiece.
